The CLEAR LIST command is a simple command that takes in only one parameter, the list reference number.

CLEAR LIST(list{;*})

Though this may seem straightforward, this command can cause problems, like freezing or crashing 4D. The main thing to remember when using this command is that in order to clear the list, the list cannot be in use. Once the list is closed, only then the list can be cleared.
