4D 2004 currently uses an installer from the company InstallShield for the windows platform for the "All-in-one" installation package.

In certain situations you may experience a -6001 error when installing 4D.

To resolve this issue simply delete or rename the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield

Then launch the 4D installer again.
