When the Mac displays the message "Cannot find the plug-in command X_SAMPLE COMMAND. Do you want to localize another plug-in?" on starting an application and the plug-in was copied to the proper location, the developer may want to check the Creator and Type with ResEdit or a similar utility. Sometimes one or both of these are modified when a file is moved from a PC environment to a Mac environment.
