Tech Tip: Setting the Colors of the v6.5 Ruler Control
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 6.5 | PLATFORM: Mac
Published On: May 26, 2000

When you use the 4D v6.5 ruler object on your forms, and display the form on the Macintosh platform, you have the option of changing the color of the ruler's slider. (The slider color cannot be changed on Windows).

There are two ways to do this.

In the Colors tab page of the Object Properties dialog (or in the new v6.5 Property List), you can set the background color of the object to the color of your choice. This changes the color of the slider.

You can change this background color via code by using either the SET COLOR or the SET RGB COLORS commands.

These same techniques can be used to set the color of the unit labels along the ruler, by changing the foreground color of the ruler object. You can change the color of the unit labels on both the Windows and Macintosh platforms.
