Currently there is no mechanism that disables the highlight feature in a list form. However, below are some workarounds that should help:

1. One way is to set field objects to be transparent and not use any background objects such as rectangles. This works, but is visibly unpleasant.

2. The second way is to use a Static Picture. For instance, if you want to have a white background with no highlighting try the following:
-Copy a picture of a white background.
-Paste the picture onto the list form.
-Modify the picture so it has a rectangular shape and place it in the detail section.

Now check your list form and try clicking on each record. No highlight appears.
