Tech Tip: Window sizing on the Windows platform
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: | PLATFORM:
Published On: March 18, 1999

On the Windows platform, the interior of the 4D V6.5 application window is two pixels smaller on all four sides than it was in 4D V6. Previously, the inside of the 4D application window was missing the three-dimensional bevel of the Windows interface. This was corrected in 4D V6.5, which subracts two pixels on each of the four sides from the space available to display your own windows. So your largest window should now be four pixels narrower and four pixels shorter than before. For viewing on a 640 by 480 pixel screen display using the standard settings in the Windows Display control panel, the largest size that a type 8 window can be fully displayed is 620 pixels wide by 375 pixels high.
