In previous versions, variables would automatically be copied over to the expression value panel, of the debugger. But this is no longer the case in 4D version 6.5. There are several ways to get to variables to the expression value panel:

1. Drag and drop (click on the selected text, and drop it in the evaluation area).
   
2. Click on the selected text while holding down the Ctrl (Windows) or Command (MacOS) key.
   
3. By using the Ctrl+D (Windows) or Command+D (MacOS) key combinations.
