4th Dimension is a highly flexible tool for creating and deploying powerful database driven applications. There is simply no better tool that offers the same features, power, and flexibility. However the 4D Client/Server model is designed to operate in a fast LAN environment and is therefore not ideal for WAN deployment. This Technical Note presents some WAN deployment options that attempt to minimize this issue.
