To clear a 4D Chart area, the command CT NEW DOCUMENT is used.

Attempting to copy a 4D Chart from another area onto an existing area without calling CT NEW DOCUMENT will not overwrite the previous chart. It will be appended to the existing area, thus displaying two charts overlapping one another.
