If you get the error message "The expansion needs to be registered on the same machine as the product" when trying to register an expansion product, this means that the base product to which you are tieing the expansion to must be registered to the machine you are using.

To fix this, you must go through the activation process for the base product before you will be able to tie the expansion to it.
