Tech Tip: Saving an XLIFF file (.xlf)
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 11.3 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: December 18, 2008

When saving an XLIFF file (.xlf) be sure to specify in the save dialog that it be saved with UNICODE UTF-8 encoding. Most modern text editors on both Mac OS and Windows allow you specify the encoding in the "Save as..." dialog. If the file is save with formats such as ANSI or Mac OS Roman the XLIFF will not be properly processed by 4D v11 SQL.
