Over the last few years, Web 2.0 has become a very hot topic in the world of web development. However some people may be asking themselves, what is Web 2.0? Well the answer to that is not so easy, as there are many different definitions of what Web 2.0 is. In reality, Web 2.0 is a marketing term aka buzzword. None of the definitions validate nor invalidate the others as there is no RFC or IEEE standard that describes what Web 2.0 is.

In the context of these Session Notes, Web 2.0 refers to the 4D Web 2.0 Pack along with other techniques for avoiding page reloads. Web 1.0 is a term that did not exist until after the term Web 2.0 emerged. In the context of these Session Notes, Web 1.0 refers to 4D Tag based systems along with page reloads for every operation.
