Stanford University Continuing Studies faced a challenge. Their core Client-Server 4D application “CSP” had become cumbersome and difficult to maintain. They wanted new features, but the non-standard API linking the application to their website was fragile and difficult to maintain. For a solution, they turned to 4D v11 SQL and 4D Certified Solutions partner Denali Data Systems. The final solution is standards-based, using 4D v11 SQL’s built-in Web Services server to deliver dynamic information to Stanford’s website, while maintaining centralized business rules and preserving their secure environment.
