4D v12 introduces a new feature that allows the syntax styles to be set from the method editor. These are the same display preferences that can be set from the Preferences.

In order to apply a style to a specific item (Commands, Tables, Fields, Methods, ...), simply:

• place the cursor in the text or highlight some of the text


• right-click to bring up the contextual menu


• select the the style option to apply
  

After this, all items of that type will have the new style option applied, throughout all methods.
