This Technical Note covers how to perform SQL dumps in 4D v12. A SQL dump is essentially an export of the data contained within a database. This is exposed in 4D v12 via the SQL EXPORT DATABASE and SQL EXPORT SELECTION commands and is complimented by the SQL EXECUTE SCRIPT command as a way of importing the data back in to 4D. A sample database, sample dump, and sample structure definition are included with this Technical Note to help demonstrate the use of these commands.
