Tech Tip: System Date vs. Internal Date
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 12.3 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: February 8, 2012

There are System date formats and Internal date formats. Internal date formats are as noted in the 4D documentation page for "Date Display Formats" (https://doc.4d.com/4Dv12.3/help/Title/en/page179.html). System date formats are dependent on the system format set on the machine 4D is running on. On Windows, the short date and long date format can be changed via the "Region and Language" window as shown:

On Mac OS, the short date and long date formats can be customized as shown:

To get to this window, go to "System Preferences," then select "Date & Time," then click the "Open Language & Text..." button, select the "Formats" tab, then "Customize...." This allows users to customize the system date formats on their machine.
