4D v12 comes with a number of compound form objects, known as widgets, that are ready to use "out of the box". Their features are quite simple, as their primary goal is to save developers from working on basic modules common to almost any application. This, however, is not to say that widgets have to be simple. In fact, it is only when one learns to create their own custom widgets that they truly begin to appreciate how widgets are a real time saver, a concept that helps design and evolve your 4D application in a much more organized way. This session will guide you through the steps of bringing widgets to your development process and share many useful tips through a range of practical examples.
