When 4D datafiles get big so do their backup files. Often times users like to keep multiple sets of backup files while using the 4D Backup scheduler to automatically delete older backup files as new ones are created. If you are going from three sets of backup files to one set in order to save disk space it is important to know that older backup files will not be deleted automatically. If the number of backup files to be kept is lowered older files may not be deleted. These files must be deleted manually.
For example, if the number of backup files to keep is lowered from three to one then only the most recent set of backup files will be deleted during the next automatic backup. The older two sets of files will remain until they are deleted manually.
