In 4D v13, List Box received a major upgrade which greatly extends its capabilities. Since the introduction of the new “enhanced” List Box in 4D v11 SQL, using a List Box as a replacement for an output list form has become a common practice. This Technical Note explores the idea of enabling end users to build and customize output list forms to their own preferences. The Technical Note provides a proof of concept prototype demonstrating the use of the 4D v13 List Box, programmatically built by the user, to act as a replacement for 4D native output list forms. This Technical Note presents the basics of how to enable end users to create selection based list forms and include all the enhanced v13 features to List Boxes.
