If using the command Log Event to record custom information to either the 4D Diagnostic Log or the 4D Commands Log (Debug Log) it is important to remember that the log must be turned on. These can be turned on using the Set Database Parameter command with paramter 79 for the Diagnostic Log or 34 for the Debug Log.

If the logging method chosen with the Log Event command isn't currently running the command will have no functionality.
