Both FileMaker Pro and 4D have been around a long time and today represent the two major multi-platform database development environments currently available. Both products have evolved a great deal over the past decade and are very much alike in many respects. Both products enjoy a loyal following but have traditionally been targeted to different audiences. This presentation is designed to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each platform in order to help the 4D developer better understand how to make a case for 4D when he/she is faced with a customer who may already have - or may be considering using FileMaker as their next data management platform.
