Tech Tip: Choose an appropriate version of ODBC Driver for an external application
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 13.3 | PLATFORM: Win
Published On: September 6, 2013

External applications can communicate with a 4D Server via ODBC Driver. In v13, there are two versions of ODBC Driver for 4D Server, 32-bit and 64-bit. Choosing the right version of ODBC Driver depends on the architecture of the external application. If the external application is a 32-bit application, the 32-bit version of ODBC Driver for 4D Server must be used. If the external application is a 64-bit application, the 64-bit version of ODBC Driver for 4D Server must be used.

Here is one possible error when the architecture of the ODBC Driver and the external application are mismatched.
