It is a common "best practice" among backup administrators to verify backups regularly. This process may consist of spot checking the backup by restoring random files from it. This process helps to ensure the backup is complete and accurate.
Some backup administrators go even further by performing fire drills on the backup system where an entire system down is tested. The fire drill may consist of reinstalling the OS for a machine followed by restoring the necessary files to get the organizations application up and running.
The same practices can be adopted by 4D Backup Administrators to identify and prevent potential issues.
