Tech Tip: Avoid confusion when getting the dimensions of a picture in a form object
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 13.4 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win

When needing the dimensions of a picture, its native width and height, be sure to use the PICTURE PROPERTIES command and not the OBJECT GET COORDINATES command. This can be confusing because both commands use the name of the picture variable. The form object has two name, a unique object name and a not necessarily unique variable name.

Only if the form's Picture object "happens" to be the same height and width of the picture, the measurements will not be the same. That is because the form picture object displays the image using one of five display formats that can present the image scaled to the form object's size.
