This session is about business charts using the open source/MIT-licensed JavaScript library jqPlot and 4D V14's ne object feature. jqPlot can be deeply customized, and it allows a vast amount of different chrts to be created. 4D v14’s new object allows you to create the requested JavaScript object directly with 4D code and pass it to a Web Area for display. There is minimum (zero) JavaScript knowledge needed to use the example code, but the session also shows the new Web Area Inspector, helping to developers who want to to use jqPlot features not covered by the example. The first part uses code to automatically create different business charts. The second part of this presetnation shows an extreme chart: a gauge in different versions (by using different options). The final part shows an user interface allowing you to customize results, to giveyou an idea what kind of charts are supported. As the user interface simply calls methods, developers can integrate this into an application using their own user interface
