4D, and more specifically the 4D Internet Commands (4DIC) plug-in, has long had a variety of capabilities to send and receive email messages. In v14, several changes to 4DIC have made it easy to send emails that will be presented by most email client programs (e.g. MS Outlook) as formatted HTML. Formatted HTML emails are particularly useful in providing a professional appearance for customer communications. This tech note will explain the coding basics of how to send an HTML formatted email.
