Placeholders can be dynamic and represented by variables or an xliff.

If set in the property list only xliffs will be dynamic while variable names will be taken as a litteral string as shown below.




To use a variable as a dynamic placeholder the OBJECT SET PLACEHOLDER function must be used.

Using these techniques will allow for dynamic Placeholders that can be used for localization purposes with xliffs or other purposes.
