Tech Tip: Setting the 4D SQL server port

4D comes with its own integrated 4D SQL server. By default, the 4D SQL server responds on the TCP Port 19812. This port must be available on your machine. In 4D v15, the port value can be set using two methods:

1.) Through The Database settings menu:

2.) Using Set Database Parameter selector number 88:

Set Database Parameter(SQL server port id;19822) //sets sql port to 19822

Note: Set Database Parameter will not check to see if port is already in use.
