Tech Note: Introduction to Object field in v15

In 4D v14, handling objects through code in a 4D application was introduced though the 4D Language. 4D takes objects further in v15 by integrating the Object field data type in a table, which allows property/value pairs of different kinds with no predefined data schema in 4D. Whether the data models in the database are schema or schema-less, executing indexed queries will be significantly fast. The Technical Note introduces the Object field data type's in depth capabilities with demonstrations to apply in a sample database.

Attention with the 4D Constants in the templates which, of course, are not recognized by a french 4D…
