The Server and Clients database settings are independent. So having the database settings modified on the server does not modify the database settings on the connected clients. Make sure to check the database settings if behavior that has not been set to occur is occuring.

For example if the 'Launch Web Server at Startup' setting was disabled on the Server database settings were disabled but the Server database settings were set on the Client database settings the clients would still start a client web server.
