This technical note will cover the topic of stemming and provide a component that will stem words in the English language. Stemming words can be useful in queries where the query can be performed on the stem of a word, to find possibly related words. For example the word "assessing" stems into "assess", which can be used to find other related words like "assessing", "assessment", "assessed" and etc.
