Tech Tip: On Mouse Up Event
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 16 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: October 14, 2016

In 4Dv16 a new form event has been added for a more accurate reaction to user interactions with pictures. The new form event is the On Mouse Up form event which is triggered when the user releases the mouse button.

The new event can be toggled on in the property list for picture variables objects and picture field objects only. With the event a new command has been added to assist with tracking and reacting to the user. This command is Is waiting mouse up, which is designed to prevent an issue in which an object is being moved, but an external event interrupts the process and the object does not receive an On Mouse Up event which will prevent the process from ever completing.

Along with the On Picture Scroll Event, the management of Picture form objects are improved and easier with these new features.
