Tech Tip: Prevent primary key dialog from coming up in converted database
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 15.x | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: April 19, 2017

In versions of 4D prior to v14, it was possible to have tables without a primary key defined. However, when upgrading to v14+, the following dialog will be displayed.

The dialog allows users to quickly create or define primary keys for each of their tables. However users choose to Continue on without updating their tables. the dialog however will keep coming up the next time the user re-opens their database.

To prevent the dialog from coming up everytime the database is opened, either add primary keys to all tables that do not have one defined, or uncheck the option "Include In Log File" for every table that does not have one defined.

Note: Keep in mind these tables will no longer be included in the log file if this option is unchecked.
