Tech Tip: Using Find in Design with Custom Filters

The Find in design tool is able to find all cases in which a custom defined Filter has been applied to an Object's Alpha Format property. These are filters that have been created in the Toolbox > Filters window.

To do so perform a Find in design searching for the vertical bar "|" character (Char(124)).

When a custom filter is applied it is prepended in the properties by the "|" to let the system know that this is not the filter itself but the name of a filter created.


This can help with finding deleted filters that have been used as an Alpha format:
