When upgrading a 4D application, the following items should be checked/updated in order to say that a conversion took place:

• Update of the database methods
  • remove any obsolete/deprecated commands
• Update of the database forms
  • remove any obsolete/deprecated commands
  • review any changes in the property list
• Update of the database structure
  • primary keys, etc
• Review and update of the database settings
  • review compatibility settings
• Updating the resource files to a recent format
  • picture library, etc
• Update of obsolete plugins that no longer are supported in the new 4D version

Each conversion and upgrade is unique, hopefully this simple list helps guide you in the right direction.
