As your database becomes larger and the number of forms/methods increase, it can often become harder to locate a specific form/method in the explorer. Thankfully, 4D has a feature that allows the user to type directly on the explorer to find the desired form/method.

The image below shows a list of methods in the explorer. To quickly find the desired form/method:

1. Navigate to the methods or forms tab depending on whether you want to search for a form or a method. Click the drop down arrow to expand the list of names.
   
   


2. Type the name of the form/method. For example, say we want to find the project method named "test". As soon as we begin to type the letters "t-e-s-t", the highlight finds the closest matching name.
