4D View Pro (4DVP) lends developers advanced spreadsheet functionalities. Some common uses are creating tables from data sets and inserting formulas for calculations. A lesser known capability of 4D View Pro is its ability to transform data into a live dashboard. This technical note will demonstrate a programmatic approach to taking continuously updated data in a 4D View Pro area and presenting the data via dashboard display. The dashboard is simply meant to represent live data in real time, in a visually appealing way, without any user interactions. 4D v18 R2 will be used for this demonstration.
