With industry standards transitioning towards a 64-bit only environment, there has been an increase in clients upgrading to newer operating systems such as MacOS Catalina and BigSur. As a result, databases built in v17 and prior are slowly being nudged into the 64-bit only direction and clients will eventually have to understand the process of upgrading to v18 which drops 32-bit compatibility for any plugins or components.
