The info report component has always been around to assist in troubleshooting issues since its inception in v6 back in 2004. Rather than a component, info report initially started as a library of methods for gathering as much info related to the 4D database, hardware, and the OS. It wasn’t until v11 where components were introduced, and info report was converted into a compiled component and allowed developers to include it in their host database. Developed by Thomas Schlumberger, he has managed to maintain and update the component throughout each new version of 4D which has greatly assisted in finding and resolving technical issues.
