PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 18 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: April 12, 2021

When developing new forms, it can be useful to run the form to see how it behaves. A nice convience provided by the form editor is the play button which runs the form.

However, when running a form this way, it should be noted that the form will be executed in the Application Process. If the form is ran in the Application Process, some implemented features of the form may misbehave or conflict with other items being ran in the Applicaiton Process.

For example, variables will in the process will be maintained, opening up the form multiple times will show values that may not appear when the form is opened in a new process.

To get a better idea of how the forms will behave, it would be best to run the form in a new process.
