The built-in primary key manager can be a useful tool to detect missing primary keys and makes it easy to create and select an existing field as the new primary key. However, if the database is v14 or newer, the built-in manager can only detect what is missing and much of the primary key creation must be done manually which can be an arduous task if an old database has hundreds of tables missing primary keys. The purpose of this tech note is to fill in that gap and to create a component that automates primary key generation for all tables missing primary keys which can be useful for clients looking to convert to a newer version of 4D with PK requirements.
