Tech Note: Generating QR Codes in 4D (Revised on Aug 4th, 2023)

The QR code is a common tool used in many applications today. With a wide range of utility in areas varying from commercial tracking to personal convenience, QR codes can help expedite a variety of processes. This technical note will discuss what a QR code is and how it is applied today. In addition, this technical note will go over how to implement the generation of QR codes in 4D, using the web area and a JavaScript library. This can be accomplished in 4D v19 on both Mac and Windows platforms.

Dear all, when I create an URL which contains the character "=", for instance "....4DACTION/W_Init/HG_Taxon_de?TaxonID=1077534" the javascript obviously replaces the "=" with "...4DACTION/W_Init/HG_Taxon_de?TaxonID
