When updating a legacy application in v19, use of APPLY TO SELECTION may generate compiler errors that did not occur in previous versions. This could be because the compiler has been updated for APPLY TO SELECTION to support Apple Silicon target. The Compatibility settings “Use object notation…” and “Save methods as Unicode” are now both mandatory to compile the command.



After toggling these database settings ON and restarting the application, APPLY TO SELECTION should compile properly.
