If the 4D application is returning a generic error code without a message, the error codes and messages can also be found locally in the 4D installation folder in the directory below:

- Root installation folder\Resources\en.lproj

Within the en.lproj folder are 3 files:

- 4DDBErrorEN.xlf
- Errors_4d_EN.xlf
- Errors_xbox_EN.xlf

The files above can be opened with any text editor and can be searched by error code along with its message to provide more context on why a particular error is returning and can be very helpful when troubleshooting an error.
