4D View Pro (4DVP) is a powerful tool with a wide range of features to meet the spreadsheet-related needs of an application. Since 4DVP runs on SpreadJS, developers can utilize the SpreadJS API to take advantage of even more 4DVP benefits. This technical note will demonstrate how to utilize the SpreadJS API to build a chart wizard. The chart wizard will allow users to pull data from a database table and generate a chart from that data. Users will be able to choose the type of chart they want to display, select the fields they want to graphically represent, and customize various chart elements. The chart wizard can be implemented in Windows or macOS.
