There are two methods to activate a 4D product.

The typical route is the instant activation process. This process is the simplest as the steps are guided through one window. However, this process requires a live online connection to confirm the user account and the licenses. This connection uses HTTPS port 443, make sure that the firewall and any security applications are not preventing this connection.

If a live online connection is not allowed for the machine, or the security of the machine prevents the connection, the alternative activation process is the deferred process. This process will require a second machine with access to store.4d.com to perform the confirmation.
