Tech Tip: Creating "threadedFibers.prm" file for more comprehensive dump files on Windows
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 19 | PLATFORM: Win
Published On: February 6, 2023
When creating dump files on Windows using either Task Manager or ProcDump, it is also recommended to create an empty file named "threadedFibers.prm" next to the executable that is crashing. For example, if 4D Server is crashing, place the file next to 4D Server.exe. If the single user app is crashing, place it next to 4D.exe. If the engined / built app is crashing, place it next to the built app executable.
Placing this file next to the executable will provide more comprehensive detail of threads that be useful for the 4D team to analyze the potential causes for the crash.
