The purpose of this tech note is to provide an updated guide on how to notarize a 4D app on modern MacOS. Starting on November 1st, 2023, Apple’s notary service will no longer accept apps notarized using altool or Xcode 13 or earlier as this change is meant to keep users up-to- date on their MacOS. As a refresher, notarization is process of uploading an app to Apple’s notary service to assure no malicious code is present. While the notarization steps are not too different from altool, this tech note to provide the basics steps on how to notarize a 4D app from scratch.
