When using the 4D Users and Groups system, users can log into their profile for the 4D database. The login dialog allows the password to be saved so that it does not need to be reentered the next time they open the database.

The stored password is linked to the .4DLink file and will only apply if the file is used to reopen the database. If the database is opened directly or somehow the .4DLink file is not found, the user will need to enter their password.
