Tech Tip: Troubleshooting mismatch between users connected and client licenses

If the server admin screen is showing different numbers between users connected and client licenses, first thing to make sure is that the application is running on the latest version to rule out any possible fixed bugs. Otherwise, also consider other aspects of 4D that use up client licenses such as:

- SQL ODBC connections
- Devices connected to REST server / Qodly Studio

Note that client licenses used for 4D's built-in REST server cannot be forced to drop and will automatically release after 1 hour. If you are still noticing issues with user client mismatch on the latest version of 4D and do not use either ODBC or REST server, look towards setting up a tech support case.
